I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY!
I’ve been asked many times how I got involved with photography. With every couple I meet to do their engagement or wedding shoots, every Communications Manager or Public Relations Officer who I meet to do their corporate photography and even with friends who stumble upon my work I take them through the story of how I fell in love with photography.
It’s quite a long relationship, mine with the camera. It all started when I was born into this world and my Dad, who was doing professional photography at the time would take photos of my elder sister and I. Dad says that unlike my sis, I didn’t like being in front of the camera. When he would whip out the camera, my sis would pose. I would cry. Well, I later found out that I am at peace when I am behind the lens! Looking at the world from my lens.
Years down the line, after countless nights at Dad’s photo studio and helping out at events from photography of University Graduation ceremonies to School Portraits, I fell in love head over heels with my friend Nimo’s Nikon DSLR when we were at camp in Kampala. Immediately after camp I went home and bugged my Dad to critique my photography and from then til’ now I’m on a life-time of apprenticeship.
And the rest, is photography!
I recently did a photoshoot with Nyambura & Saritah in MTV (Mountain View for y’all who are wondering… of course I’ll be on MTV soon but not as yet.. watch this space!) You can find the photos on the “People” page.
Get in touch so that I can include YOU to my page of beautiful faces.. Enjoy!
